One of my agents started flagging a wave of positive sentiment across customer calls, so naturally I wanted to know why. It turned out, customers were talking about Live Apps, which we had just opened up in Beta. I can't say I was surprised, since I'd been using it myself for a few weeks by then.
I realize "apps" aren’t exactly a new idea. Plenty of chatbots, vibe-coding platforms, and agentic data tools have rolled out their own versions, so a little skepticism is fair. But how many of those general-purpose AI apps can actually work on real enterprise data, with dozens of sources, conflicting definitions, and complex models?
In an earlier post, I described how we built our GTM context layer, so any AI agent working with our data would understand our business without having to guess. This post is about what we built on top of it: how Live Apps work, and why they've become the way our GTM team runs day to day.
What makes Live Apps different
We started using Live Apps in preview, just a few months before the official launch, and the early results have been promising. Analysis that once took days of building and explaining now comes together in a handful of messages, and we're still discovering new ways to use it. Here's how the experience has been so far:
Insights arrive in minutes, not days
Building a dashboard used to be a project of its own. I'd create each widget one metric at a time, set up the filters, check the joins, and start over whenever someone wanted a different view. Even once it was finished, it was still a wall of widgets. So, every meeting began with a walkthrough of what each one meant.
Now, it takes me fewer than three messages to get roughly 80% of the way to a finished app. Because Live Apps run on our GTM context layer, the first draft already connects the key metrics, picks the right filters, adds historical trends, and organizes everything into logical tabs.
That leaves me with enough time to focus on the important bits. The last 20% comes down to the story I want the app to tell and the outcome I want it to drive, whether that's tailoring a view for leadership or adding a scenario to test before planning. Overall, building a Live App from scratch usually takes about 8-9 well-thought-out messages, compared to the weeks it used to take to build a dashboard.
Tell your story whichever way you want
I'm no longer limited to a handful of preset charts. I can pick a design theme and shape the app into whatever format fits the moment, whether that's a crisp executive brief or a polished presentation. This flexibility has come in handy in more ways than I can count.
When a prospect wanted to know how I use WisdomAI, I built a Live App instead of a slide deck to walk them through it, showing how I use each part of the platform across pipeline, forecasting, and planning. Later, I built another one to simulate our FY28 planning cycle, testing different assumptions for pipeline coverage, conversion rates, and quota capacity, along with the levers we can pull to hit our goals.
As a result, I rarely open a spreadsheet or slideshow nowadays. I either build an app that tells the story for me, or give leadership an interactive model they can explore on their own.
Numbers trace back to their source
Live Apps make their reasoning visible. For any insight, you can trace the full path back to the data sources it used, the context it applied, and the SQL or Python that produced the result. And because Live Apps are connected to WisdomAI's Analytics Harness, they also flag when context is missing or a term is ambiguous, so you know exactly where to add more context, refine the app, or connect another source.
That might sound like a small thing, but anyone who has been handed an AI-generated deck knows how hard it is to trust a number with no clear source. With Live Apps, anyone in the company can build their own app and send it to me for a quick check, and I can see exactly where the numbers came from.

Experiments no longer mean starting over
With static dashboards, trying something new was expensive. Testing a different view or a new way to slice the data meant building a copy, rewiring filters, and pushing other priorities aside. So most ideas never got tested at all.
With a solid context layer underneath, Live Apps are easy to build and maintain. As a result, we experiment far more than we used to. The same data can be shaped differently for whoever is looking at it. And instead of one cluttered dashboard with a dozen filters, I can build a clear view for each persona, OKR, or time period that matters to my audience.
And there's no risk in trying. Every change is saved along the way, so if an idea doesn't work out, I can roll back to an earlier version and try something else.
The Live Apps our team relies on every day
Prospecting intelligence
The more precisely a team defines its ICP and target accounts, the more tools it needs to identify the right signals.
Before: Our prospecting signals were fragmented across tools. Intent data lived in one place, tech stack details in another, and hiring and funding news somewhere else entirely, with nothing connecting them. To get the full picture on a single account, an AE had to check five different sources and piece it together themselves. Most didn't have time, so they relied on our monthly account lists instead, which were basically spreadsheets that marked some accounts as high priority with no supporting rationale.
After: I connected all signal sources to WisdomAI and built a Live App on top of them. Because Live Apps query each source where the data already lives, nothing has to be copied or synced, and every signal stays current. Our prospecting cockpit now scores each account, explains the reasoning behind every score, and highlights the intent signals AEs can act on. AEs can see exactly why an account made the list, so they can tailor their pitch and review everything they need right before the call.
Here's the first version, built in under six messages:
Pipeline coverage and projections
The next fiscal year is only a few months away, so pipeline planning is now at the top of our list.
Before: Every planning cycle started with a spreadsheet. I'd build a model for our CRO, Paul, start with a few assumptions, and then rebuild it every time he wanted to test a new scenario. Not only was it time-consuming for me, but also frustrating for anyone else who wanted to explore on their own. Every change had to go through me.
After: This time, I took a different route and asked WisdomAI to simulate the scenarios for me, then shared the app with Paul. The result is a Pipeline Simulator App with a set of connected, interactive widgets that let us test different outcomes, depending on how ambitious our targets are.

The real win is that Paul now uses the app on his own to set goals and decide how to pace the quarter and the year. When he wanted to rethink AE capacity, he didn't need to wait on me to build a new app, change inputs, or see related tabs change.

Making a change to the app itself is super easy, as well. Annotate a widget on the screen and ask for a modification if it relates to data. A visual edit/text edit is much simpler. Seeing its reasoning and progress updates along the way gives us both confidence that it's picking up the right context and building exactly what we intended.

We're just getting started
I've been working with Live Apps for a few months now, and I can say with confidence that we're still at the very beginning. What Live Apps can do today only hints at where they could go, and I have a whole list of ideas I'm excited to explore:
What if apps could share insights with one another? What if a widget could trigger an agent the moment a metric slipped to build another app that investigates and presents a detailed hypothesis?
For now, these are just ideas. But as an alpha user, I get to experiment with them and help figure out which ones come to life. That's the part I'm most excited about. If you'd like to explore more examples of data-driven storytelling, visit our Live Apps gallery.
And if you've made it this far, I'd welcome the chance to compare notes. Whether you're building on WisdomAI or elsewhere, you can reach me at navin@wisdom.ai or grab some time with me, and I'll walk you through more Live Apps I use every day.
